How to hide secret files on Android without app

1. First. Open the File Explorer app on your Android. Go to the folder where you want to hide the file. Here we use the "Root Browser" app and we will hide the video file.

2. Rename the file and change the original file format to another file format (eg .mp4 changed to .jpg). Here you can also rename the file to another name that you think will not be read by others.

3. Do a test on the file that you have changed the format earlier. Click on the file, then the application selection option will appear to open the file. Due to the .mp4 file format you have changed to .jpg then the file will be automatically opened by gallery / image viewer.

4. As a result, the file will not read and will display a blank display. This is because the original file format is wrong (because of the format you have changed).

5. To open the file correctly you should open the file by using the "Open with" option and select "Open as type" then choose "Video". Then select the video player app (eg Video player).

6. The file will open normally. As the picture below, the video file "despacito.jpg" successfully opened. To further maintain the secrecy again, then you need to move the location of the file to another forlder that will not be opened with others.
